- Write a 4-5-page paper with the following headings:
- Introduction and context: Introduce your topic to the audience. Describe the object, practice, or topic in detail. Why do you find this topic interesting? What questions did you have going into this activity? End your introduction with your thesis statement, or the argument you will make in your paper. Underline your thesis statement.
- Findings and analysis:
- Focus on 2 or 3 interesting things about your topic that you want to focus on or write about. Write 2-3 paragraphs about them. Include specific details from your research. What does your topic teach us about human cultural or biological evolution? What is the relationship of this to other topics we have learned about in biological anthropology? How does it connect or relate to other things we have learned about in class?
- Conclusion: Summarize the overall main point of your topic. What is further research you would like to do on this topic if you had time? What does your topic teach us about human evolution?
- Include works cited page
- What you are NOT allowed to do is include direct quotes as if they are your own words. That counts as plagiarism. Use sources, but write everything in your own words. Don’t use too much of the sources. Your voice should be the main part of this paper
