Here is the prompt for my essay: Write an essay about the Christian political participation in South Korea today discussing the issue of homophobia. Please rewrite the essay attached keeping the same sources, focusing mainly on the article by Ju Hui Judy Han and the role of religion in homophobia in South Korea and less on the role of nationalism. It has to be five pages double-spaced.
You can use this as a point of departure:
In South Korea today, the visibility of sexual minorities is growing everyday. Although there is notable progress in South Korean society’s acceptance of the LGBTQ from the Korean society over the last decades, most of the population remains hostile. The LGBTQ community still faces severe discrimination and oppression in South Korean society today. The main opposing power which has risen against the LGBTQ movement in South Korea are the Korean Protestant churches. In order to explore the Christian political participation in South Korea today and its effects on queer activism, this essay will examine Ju Hui Judy Han’s article titled ““Becoming Visible, Becoming Political: Faith and Queer Activism in South Korea.”
