Respond to the following questions:
- Indicate which case study you selected.
- What are the ethical, legal, and social implications of this type of genetic information?
- What safeguards are in place to protect individuals against genetic discrimination? Include information about GINA in your response.
- What is missing in terms of protections for patients such as the client or clients whose case study you reviewed?
- How do you think this tool could be used in education in the service community? Be as specific as possible, including the unit and setting and how it might be used. Why would it be of value? If you do not believe this activity would be valuable in the service community, indicate why you think this is the case, as well.
- Suggest other places or levels of student or practitioner who might benefit from these evolving case studies.
