Instructions

Find someone who is culturally different than yourself. You will interview this person in order to (a) gain insight from those from other backgrounds different than your own; (b) abstract your observations and relate these observations to relevant class materials and (c) learn about your own responses and behaviors in cross-cultural interpersonal situations.

You may choose any format to interview your interviewee in (i.e. phone, Skype in-person, etc.). Be sure to ask questions about your interviewee’s cultural background, their experiences and values, and any communication challenges that they may have faced either here in United Sates or abroad.

Share the findings of your interview in a 3-5-page paper.
