We want a free world. The desire of power is a drug. The desire to rule is an addiction.There were many countries where the people do not have a voice in society. People were slavesand under control for many generations. Universal suffering was normal in past generations.Women were not even able to vote. People did not have equal rights, and everyone should betreated equally.Monarchy was the most popular political system in the twentieth century. “Monarchy is apolitical system in which power resides in one person or family and is passed from generation togeneration through lines of inheritance.”(Kendall, 2017, p. 388). Monarchy is a structure. Aking, queen, or emperor generates your rules. The positive aspect of a monarchy are that lawsand rules are created fast.”Authoritarianism is a political system controlled by rulers who deny popularparticipation in government.”(Kendall, 2017, p. 389).Authoritarianism is a system where theruler desires obedience. No one is more or less than one another. These are beliefs that should bepoured into our political system. Power is our society’s most dangerous drug and addiction.
