Competitive Strategies and Competitive Position Improvement for Your Career Area

Career area is Medical Fudning for Personal injury patients

The purpose of MGT350’s Critical Thinking (CT) assignments, Portfolio Milestone, and Final Portfolio Project is to develop and demonstrate your strategic thinking skills from an individualized career perspective. To do so, a series of four CT assignments (Weeks 2, 3, 4, and 5), one Portfolio Milestone (Week 6), and the Final Portfolio Project (Week 8) will be employed. These six assignments provide an opportunity to comprehensively analyze a company from your perspective as an employee or a potential employee. Moreover, these assignments are resume-worthy as they represent your work as a scholar and an analyst.

For CT 4 from your individual career perspective, differentiate competitive (business-level) strategies and corporate-level strategies used at your company. In particular, what generic competitive strategy(ies) is/are used? What strategies are used by your area/functional unit identified in CT 2? Do these area/functional unit strategies support the business-level strategies of the wider organization or are the area/functional unit strategies unique? How might the business improve its competitive position? How might your are/functional unit improve its competitive position? What recommendations do you have for the overall company?

Your paper should be 2-3 pages in length and conform to APA guidelines in the CSU Global Writing Center (available in the left-hand navigation panel). Include at least 2 scholarly references including the course textbook. The CSU Global Library is a good place to find these references (available in the left-hand navigation panel).
