Part of being a manager is knowing about the company for which you work. This includes knowing the mission, vision, and values of the company. This assignment will help you learn more about a company in which you are interested and is Part 1 of a 2-part assignment that you will finish next week. Follow these steps to complete the Part 1 assignment.
- Choose a company in a field that interests you or in a field in which you’d like to work one day. This can be a large, medium, or small-sized company with a global, national, or local presence.
- Conduct a search of this company’s mission statement, vision statement, and values. Usually these are on their website.
- Identify the company’s strategic plan and/or an outline of their business strategy.
- Identify what their customer promise is about the product or service they offer. If they don’t share this information directly, what can you interpret from the information that is available?
- Write your findings in a 350-word report (approximately 1 page, double spaced, 11-point font). Include a summary of the company, their website address, and pertinent information related to their mission, vision, values, business strategy, and customer promise.
- Submit your report by the due date.
