Complete the Week 4 Assignment: Management Consulting – Guiding Strategy, Planning & Decision-making Part 2

Last week you conducted a search on a company you have interest in learning more about. You identified an organization and researched their mission, vision and values and, if available, explored their strategic plan and/or an outline of their business strategy. 

This week, in Part 2, you will take what you have gathered to serve as a management consultant and make consultative recommendations to help inform the company’s business strategy, decision making, planning, and culture creation due to changes in the marketplace, cultural changes, and pandemic changes. 

Create an 9- to 10-slide PowerPoint presentation based on your company research. You are the management consultant presenting to the company chief executive officer (CEO). The slides should be engaging with visuals and only the most pertinent information. Follow this recommended slide format:

  • Slide 1: This is the cover slide. List your name as the management consultant and the name of your presentation.
  • Slide 2: Begin your presentation with a slide that compliments what is positive about the company so that the CEO and team are more receptive to your feedback.
  • Slide 3: List the current mission, vision, and values of the company.
  • Slide 4: List the current strategic plan and/or business strategy.
  • Slide 5: List the customer promise around their products and services (Note: this may not be readily available. If not, skip this slide).
  • Slides 6-7: List your recommendations for the planning or action steps the company should implement to improve their mission, vision, or values to be in better alignment with marketplace, cultural, and/or pandemic changes. What updates to the mission, vision, or values do you recommend?
  • Slides 7-8: Describe how these recommended changes will help support a positive/productive company culture.
  • Slides 8-9: Describe ways/tactics that the CEO and team can roll out these changes to the company employees and whether an all-staff meeting, a mass email, or other promotional scenario is warranted to make known these changes to all company employees. 
  • Slide 10: Conclusion and thank you.
