Prompt 2. On Canvas Module page 12.2, I attempted to explain to you that there have been two principal “approaches” in historical research on American slavery. One approach largely focused on things like “the economics of it, the inputs necessary to support it, the products of it, and the ideology of it.” The other approach, though, focused on things like “slaves’ living conditions, their family life, their music, their folklore, their ideas, and the ways slaves attempted to carve out some independence from, and resistance to, the domination of white slaveholders.”
Compose an essay that explains some of the most significant things these two approaches have taught us about American slavery.
