Make it about a made up PT clinic. if possible please make it more than 7 slides.
What’s the nature of the project?
In this project, you will create a PowerPoint presentation that advertises and describes a particular health services organization created by you. For instance, a student may wish to create a website for a physical therapy practice, or an outreach program designed to connect people to health information and health services.
The content of your PowerPoint presentation should cover two areas. First, present and explain the services and resources your organization provides. Depending on the kind of organization you present (a physical therapy clinic, or a health education office, for example), the services will vary. This is one place in the project where you can be creative or choose to pursue your interests. Some students may choose to present something like an organization that provides direct clinical care for patients, others may choose to present the resources of an organization that provides health information to the public, and still others may decide to develop something completely different that you feel is needed.
Second, you will explain and offer examples of how your organization creates and maintains a just, diverse, and inclusive healing and supportive environment. Students will use knowledge from their major and ANT 415 to communicate the clinical services they provide, and how they provide them to diverse patients in a just and inclusive manner. Our readings in ANT 415, offer several ideas and strategies for practicing a commitment to a just, diverse, and inclusive healing environment. Examples such as cultural competence, political economic approaches, and a bio-cultural perspective are just some of the strategies that will appear in case studies, theories, policies, and methods learned through reading, film, and discussion. For this portion of the assignment, you get to choose the kinds of anthropological strategies you will incorporate into how your organization does business with patients and the public. You may even decide to create your own strategies based off the ones we learn about. Whatever ideas you incorporate, be sure to explain them clearly so we understand how you will actually use them when working with people through your organization. In addition, be sure to cite your sources using parenthetical citations and a bibliography according to the guidelines in the Getting Started module

How should I structure my PowerPoint presentation?
You can design the appearance and layout of the PowerPoint point in your own way, so follow your own preferences when it comes to colors, backgrounds, and text/image positioning. I expect you to provide text and visuals on your website. Regarding text, you want to approach the website similar to an essay. You should have an introduction of a few paragraphs, including a clear thesis statement on your first 1-2 slides. These will explain what your website is about and why what you present is significant. Your body paragraphs, so to speak, would consist of your slides on the client or patient services and commitments you provide. Then you want to provide some kind of conclusion slide that reinforces the significance of your website. Last but not least, you need a bibliography. Also, be sure to cite your sources throughout your presentation (a good rule of thumb is to include at least 1 parenthetical citation per paragraph or text area, and you will likely include more as the need arises). For citations and bibliography, follow the guidelines in the Getting Started module. You will also have to spend time looking for appropriate images and/or video to include that relate to the ideas you present. Images and video should also be accompanied by citations, and you need to list their sources in the bibliography.
How much text do I have to write, and how many visuals should I include?
There is no set word count or certain number of images/videos that you have to include in your PowerPoint, but I suggest that you think of this as a 4-6 page essay. I expect you to do a thorough job in presenting the organization and explaining how it provides services in the context of justice, diversity, and inclusion. Therefore, it’s important to be as detailed and as clear as possible. You want to balance that with not being too wordy, since too much text on a website can be distracting. The best websites and PowerPoints strike a delicate balance between useful information and visual appeal. The sooner you get started, the more time you have to collect information, brainstorm ideas, and refine your website before you turn it in for a grade.
Grade Breakdown:
Writing, grammar, and clarity (5 points):
Your project should demonstrate a careful and attentive writing and editing process, drawing on course readings and concepts.
Thesis statement, support, and conclusion (5 points):
You should have a clear thesis statement on the main page, putting forward what your organization aims to do and how this business creates and maintains a just, diverse, and inclusive healing environment. This statement should be clearly supported throughout the supporting pages of your website. Be sure to reiterate and reaffirm your thesis statement on a concluding page of some sort, as appropriate to your business.
Organization and Layout (5 points):
In this first draft of the project, you are taking a first stab at putting your work together in a new forum. 4 of 5 points are available for submitting this project on time in the required format. An additional point is available for especially well organized and visually appealing projects.
Discussion of examples/citations and sources (5 points):
In this first draft of the project, please draw from at least 6 academic sources, including a minimum of two required course readings.
