Your written work should be font sized 10 or 11, double spaced, and a minimum of three but no more than four pages. Formulas and images (if you choose to include) should be appropriately sized (do not take up half a page with an image). All work, units and significant figures must be shown and correct for credit. Cite all resources that you use in ACS or similar style citation (any citation style that you’ve used for another chem course will be fine to use here). Submit both your written assignment and your excel or hand written work supporting the data that you tabulate in your report.

Newspaper articles in recent years have referenced the Clausius-Clapeyron equation as a possible
explanation for more severe storm systems along coastal cities.
• Do your own similar analysis on three different coastal cities (your choice, worldwide), it is recommended that you find the hottest average temperature for each city. IPCC projects ~6°C increase over the next century.
• Describe (and explain, teach) the Clausius-Clapeyron equation and then use it to conduct a 10, 50, and 100 year analysis of the increase in atmospheric water vapor at each of the three cities of your choice. Assume a linear temperature increase (6°C over 100 year).
• Organize and tabulate your data to convey increase in vapor pressure values as well as percent increases.
• Explain whether you think your data findings are significant, or not, and compare and contrast each city to one another.
