In general, each of these Homework assignments is going to work the same way. You’ll write one or two paragraphs per question, making sure you address all the items needed in a question. A question may have several sub-questions…! The clearer everything is, the better. If I can’t find something to address part of the question, that’s when points come off. So be clear and consistent.
When I say “paragraph” I mean 2-4 (or more) good sentences. At least. One line won’t cut it. A whole page is too much. This is part of the “critical thinking” stuff- you have to know your answer well enough to get it conveyed in a reasonable manner. If you just start typing, you may answer the questions, but you may contradict yourself (BAD!) or you may miss a point. No, citations are not needed, I expect you to use the book and any linked material to support your choices. Again, the analysis bit- digesting a set of material and pulling YOUR important parts out…
(Just FYI, this intro bit is about 200 words. That’s what you are shooting for…)
Remember, you get one shot- so if that means you copy/paste the question and answer it somewhere else, that’s fine. Just be sure to copy/paste your whole answer back here as your post- I only grade what I see, not what you think I should see.
Here are those homework REMINDERS!
How am I graded?
Item to be scored: | Point range for Item: |
---|---|
Clarity of position- | 0 – 5 |
Support for position- | 0 – 10 |
(This is per question. Obviously if you don’t answer a question, you won’t get full credit for the assignment.)
Abuses of the English language will cost 2 to 5 points. This is for the entire assignment, not per question.
