Your paper should include the following elements:
• Introduction (about 0.5-page): Briefly introduce your topic and outline your
paper.
• Theoretical Backgrounds (about 3 pages): The theoretical framework must
demonstrate an understanding of theories and concepts that are relevant to
the topic of your research paper. For instance, if you choose an affirmative
action policy, you can discuss the history of the policy, the purpose of the
policy, the key elements of the policy, etc.
• Real-World Examples (about 3 pages): Based on the theoretical
backgrounds in the previous section, discuss real-world examples related to
your issue. Going back to the affirmative action policy example, your paper
can analyze how public/private organizations actually implement the policy,
the impact of the policy, etc.
• Conclusion (about 0.5-page): A brief summary of your analysis, and provide
at least one practical implication (lesson) that we can learn from your
research paper.
