·                  Please refer to UP’s position regarding plagiarism, which can be found on the UP website.

·                  Your effort must display your ability to conduct independent research. References to reading material must be provided at the end of each research report. You must limit direct summaries and quotes. You are required to use the Harvard referencing system.

·                  Please also note that it is not sufficient to only summarise the material. You must synthesise the relevant sources and then debate and discuss the important issues in order to show your understanding of the issues. Use at least 20 relevant sources.

·                  You can make any reasonable assumptions that are necessary for preparing the answers. These assumptions should be set out clearly in your answer.

·                  You can consult with each other, but the final product must be your own. Copying and pasting of another person’s work is prohibited. It is possible that individuals will be approached to explain their answers.

·                  You are requested to answer all the questions. Research reports must be typed in 1½ spacing and must be justified.

·                  A PENALTY OF 10% WILL BE LEVIED FOR LATE SUBMISSIONS.  ANSWERS WILL, HOWEVER, NOT BE EVALUATED WHEN RECEIVED LATER THAN 3 WORKING DAYS AFTER DUE DATE.

·                  All research reports must be submitted by 18 July 2023 via Click-up, after the Turnit-in tool had been used to ensure that the plagiarism score is within acceptable limits, which is as a general rule 13%. A copy of the Turnit-in report must accompany the assignment. Failure to submit the research report in time because of problems encountered in this regard will not be seen as an acceptable excuse.
