Remember to-
· make use of in-text references, and do so in a technically correct manner;
· refrain from making factual statements unsupported by the literature- but do not hesitate to state your own views or opinions;
· synthesise the information and refrain from too many direct quotes (although you will have to do so when referring to sections in legislation, for instance);
· structure your research;
· make conclusions when you are done with a specific topic within your research, as well as an overall conclusion at the end of the research
· ensure that your list of references/bibliography at the end of your research is correct;
· ensure that your Turnitin score is within acceptable limits- do the submissions timeously;
· conduct in-depth research-eg. refrain from only generalised overviews.
· approach the research with a questioning mindset…
· Refrain from making use of tools that make use of artificial intelligence, such as Chat GPT. The research report is then not the result of your own efforts. The system will generate an AI score, not visible to students. If the score is in excess of 15%, it will not be marked. (NB)
