Discuss your critical thoughts and analysis on 1. the U.S./Mexico borderland as a third space, 2. the dehumanization of border crossers, 3. the unconstitutional deportation and repatriation, and other related critical thoughts to mind. Reflect on the presented information and what you learn/unlearn, connect, contest, and engage in class discussion with your colleagues. You are encouraged you insert your area of expertise. That is your lived experience and relevant connection to connect.
4. Post your critical discussion post (2 paragraph minimum. 1 paragraph = 9 complex and insightful sentences)
5. Engage with the critical reflection/discussion of 2 peers

Grading Rubric
Full credit: The submission meets the requirements. The submission is focused and relevant. It responds directly to the prompt. The submission demonstrates the students comprehensive understanding of the week’s material. Responds to two peers.
Half credit: The submission demonstrates a superficial or vague engagement with the week’s course material. The student remains on topic but the submission is not focused and/or tangential. Does not respond to peers.
No credit: The submission is off topic, unfocused, and demonstrates minimal understanding of the week’s material.
