please respond to the following discussion post as a peer making a comment. “Chapter 6-Emotions- Tipton (2015), speaks about how our emotions can provide us with information about what is happening in the world. They can be touched. In the body, they can be measured. Daniel Goleman defines emotion as “a feeling with its characteristic ideas, psychological and bodily states, and range of propensities to act” in his 1995 book Emotional Intelligence, which popularized the concept of emotional intelligence (p. 289). Cognitive, physiological, and behavioral factors all play a role in emotions.
Even early American societies can identify the Four Basic Emotions: fear, anger, sadness, and delight. These four emotions, as well as their variations, can be combined to produce countless delicate emotional nuances. Emotionally astute people can comprehend and express the colors and hues of their emotional lives, much as artists observe different shades and hues of color. This is a description of an example of an extended vocabulary of emotions, Tipton (2015).
What was reinforced?
Tipton (2015) states self-awareness is the capacity to comprehend oneself. What tendencies do you have? What feelings do particular situations elicit in you? What kinds of people irritate you? What difficulties motivate you? Which frightens you? What frightens you? As experience unveils previously unrealized facets of yourself, there is no end to the possibility of self-discovery. The right level of self-awareness does not necessitate exploring the depths of your mind and soul. Instead, objectively assess whether you comprehend how you interact with the universe. The basis for all other facets of emotional intelligence is self-awareness.
