After you have read ch. 7, “The Sociology of Mental Illness” and watched the Tedx Talk “I Am Not A Monster,” please complete the following in no less than 300 words:

1. First, I want you to reflect on the Ted Talk. What was your main take-away? Did anything surprise you? Did your perspective of schizophrenia change after watching this? How so?

2. Next, I want you to apply a concept or idea from chapter 7 to the Ted Talk. Be clear in your connection.

3. Lastly, since Cecilia McGough is concerned with supporting students with mental illness, how might universities go about accommodations? What can be done to better support students with mental illness?
