Based on the Readings and Lessons 6 and 7, and your own research, write a 3-page essay in which you will: 

1. compare environmental injustices during (and in the aftermath of) hurricanes Sandy and Katrina,
 2. state your research findings of what NYC and New Orleans have done and should do to prepare for future hurricanes and rising sea levels (in terms of improving the infrastructure, landscaping, other city planning, and making policies to ensure that similar injustices would not happen again, etc), 
3. state your opinions about environmental injustices in relation to these disasters and your idea of solutions to these injustices and preparedness for future hurricanes and rising sea levels.
 Make sure your essay has 3 distinct paragraphs (introduction, supporting paragraph, and conclusion which is pretty much the order of the 3 essay content directions I have given you above on this slide). For other guidance see the General Writing Guidelines section in the syllabus. Make sure your assignment has actual 3 pages, not less. No cover page. Just write your name and a title on top of your essay, nothing else. Make sure your short essay is completely about environmental injustices that occurred during these hurricanes, NOT about how hurricanes occur, how much the cost of the damage, etc. (Focus on what you have learned from the Readings and Lessons 6 and 7).
