Please use the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct to respond to this situation. You must provide 2 Principles that can be applied to the situation. Ethical Situation 1
The custodial parent of a 2-year-old in the preschool you direct requests that the school provide no information to the noncustodial parent (although you have not been informed of a restraining order limiting the noncustodial parent’s access to the child). The noncustodial parent, who visits that child occasionally at school and picks up the child on a regular basis for visitation, requests a parent conference to keep informed about the child’s progress.
