The student will elaborate in the English language an audiovisual presentation where he/she will complete a behavioral analysis based on Erik Erikson’s Psychosocial Development Theory of the protagonist’s role in the film: Good Will Hunting.
The objective of this final assignment is to explain and analyze the above film’s main character/protagonists’ behaviors, using Erik Erikson’s Psychosocial Development Theory.
The movie GOOD WILL HUNTING is found in Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Pluto TV- Free TV.
The student will apply and implement the theoretical premises of Erik Erikson’s Psychosocial Theory of Development on
Will’s character explaining the following stages:
Stage 1: Trust vs. Mistrust (Will as a child; his upbringing and how this affected him)
Stage 4: Industry vs. Inferiority (Will’s lack of a college degree; how does this influence him?)
Stage 6: Intimacy vs. Isolation (Will’s relationship to Skylar)
Erik Erikson’s 8 Stages of Psychosocial Development Please include the following:
A brief summary of the movies’ plot.

Identify and describe how stages 1, 4 and 6 of Erik Erikson’s Psychosocial Development theory applies to the main character: Will.
Based on Erikson’s premise that ” During each stage, the person experiences a psychosocial crisis which could have a positive or negative outcome for personality development.” (McLeod, 2023) Explain in a succinct way how Will copes with life experiences, how he is able to manage these challenges, and how is he affected by them.
