Choose the following topics for the term paper. The number of pages required is 5-10 double-spaced pages.
Write the term paper using any format, but include the following as parts of the paper.
1. Title
2. Abstract (Summary) The abstract highlights the main points of the report. It should state what was attempted, how it was accomplished, and what was achieved.
3. Table of Contents The table of contents lists each section heading along with the page where it can be found in the report. The abstract is not listed.
4. Introduction The introduction provides the motivation to read on. It describes the motivation for the project and provides any “relevant” and “appropriate” background information. Further, it briefly describes the material contained in the report.
5. Body Do not include “Body” as a section in the report. Sections in this part of the report include detailed presentation of the report, procedures, derivations and formulations of necessary models—eg. mathematical models, analysis, results, and discussions.
6. Conclusions
7. References Cited references are listed in this section. Do not include references that are not cited in the report.
8. Appendices If there is an appendix, it is included here. If there is none, do not include an appendix.
*The title page, abstract page, table of contents page, and the references’ page do not count toward the 5-10 pages requirement.
