For this paper you will be required to undertake a research project that looks at a particular issue concerning comparative politics, developing nations, foreign policy, or world politics. The topic of the paper is your choice; I am open to any topic that incorporates the ideas of comparative politics, developing nations, foreign policy, or world politics.
Take the following steps:
Pick a topic. Choose a specific issue concerning comparative politics, developing nations, foreign policy, or world politics that interests you. Think about the following questions, you will address all or most of these throughout your paper.
What is the problem? Describe the causes, history, dimensions
How will you research the question? In what manner will you conduct your research? For example, field research, secondary research, qualitative, quantitative and so on.
What actors are involved? Who is impacted? Who is responsible? What impact do they have? (explain how and why they are involved)
Are there social effects? Has colonialism played a role? Does religion, education, or health have an impact?
What does the future hold for the issue?
*Think about tying ideas from readings and lectures into the paper.
Write the paper; be sure to answer the above questions. The following are minimum requirements for the paper:
It should be 5 to 6 full pages (4 1/2 pages is not 5 pages) in length (Do not use contractions, include page numbers, normal fonts, margins, and double spaced)
Include proper citations in the style you are most comfortable. There will be a minimum of four (4) sources required for this paper.
It should be partly descriptive but mainly analytical. I am looking for description of the cause (history of issue), but I want you to explain and critic the issue.
Political/governmental/institutional responses
Social concerns
It does need a conclusion. Look at the issue, play with the ideas, and then give an assessment/idea of what you think the future holds or how the country solved the problem, or maybe did not solve the problem.
( I already picked the topic and I think mine answered most of the question, can you just rewrite it to make it better and add more info or ideas that make the paper long enough? Thank you in advance)
