For your final project in this course you will be required to submit either a PowerPoint Presentation that presents a policy implication of one of the categories of violent crime

This project should cover each of the four main subtopics below in one way or another. There is no minimum length for the PowerPoint or the Infographic. However, you are required to use at least three peer-reviewed sources including your textbook to present your material. Any additional information resources outside of these three do not have to be peer-reviewed but your project must cite all references in the style of APA.
Violent Crime

  • What is at least one real-life example?
Offenders
  • What is unique about the offenders of this particular violent crime?
  • Do offenders tend to have a particular victim subgroup?
  • Is there a high or low rate of offending for this crime?

  • Describe the policy implication in detail using examples or links
  • What institution implements these services or created these policies?
  • Are there multiple forms of this policy implication or is it unique?
Strengths and Weaknesses
  • What are one strength and one weakness of this policy implication?
  • Has there been a great success with this policy implication or multiple failures?
  • Do you think in the future this policy implication will need to be revised or adapted and why?
