Globalization have been offered,
but in the most general terms, it can be characterized as a large and
expanding process of economic, political, and cultural interaction among
the nations of the world and the people who inhabit them. The extent
and importance of these transnational linkages can be seen in the
growing volume of cross-border trade; foreign investment; and
international flows of capital, cultural elements, and technology.1
Globalization is one of the key trends in the world today. Individual
countries and regions have differed in the extent to which they
participate in globalization, but few places have escaped it completely.
