What are some theoretical explanations for gender bias, violence against women, and repression of women?
Write a paper that compares and contrasts critical feminist theory and power-control theory as forms of gendered criminology. Your paper should:
- Define patriarchy and its role in each theory
- Identify the different types of feminism and which type you find most attractive
- Contain UCR data that identifies the crime categories in which women’s arrests supersede men’s (UCR data link attached below). What explanation would you offer for why men’s arrests grossly exceeds women’s?
