***It is important to have a clear statement, of why your review paper would be new and interesting, as compared to previously published reviews in the area (in addition to the explanation, of why the field itself is important and interesting for biotechnology). Please make sure that you explicitly justify the necessity of writing your review paper. In addition, it is required to review original research results rather than quote other reviews to be able to get a good score for the project.
INSTRUCTIONS
This review paper
will be a comprehensive survey of technical approaches related to your topic.
You should present a balanced perspective on the topic, and acknowledge all
significant, recent contributions to the field.
This
paper should be focused on the biotechnology and how it is used to study your
topic. You are required to read, study, analyze, summarize, compare and critically
analyze research papers for this project.
To write a good
paper, make sure you understand what makes a good review paper. As you read the
review papers in the class discussion area or elsewhere, make a mental note of
the flow and organization of the paper.
Sections of the Review paper

briefly the background of the method and state clearly the nature,
significance, and novelty of the reported technique in the context of existing
methodology. This should be the majority of the paper.
DISCUSSION/CONCLUSIONS
– In
this section you discuss the research findings and your overall conclusions. How
were the results cited studies in agreement or at odds? What problems or
pitfalls must be overcome to make advancements in the field? Were the studies rigorously
designed? Were there any shortcomings?
REFERENCES – At least 15 references
should be used. Cite the references used in correct APA format both in text and
