Each student must prepare a personal digest based on the book Getting to Yes, chapters 4 to 5 (part I – The Problem and part II – The Method).
It is not enough to compile the book: the text must include personal opinion and real life examples (either personal or not).
Each chapter must have, at least, 2 full pages:
– Minimum ½ to 1 page with a synthesis of the book concepts;
– Minimum 1.5 page of personal content: how they apply (or not) in the real life. Personal experience and real cases observations are accepted as examples of the validity (or not) of such concepts in the real life.
Notice that each chapter must have at least 2 full pages, and the whole text must have at least 10 full pages.
There is no upper limit for the number of pages per chapter or total. However, notice that the grade will be given based on the broadness and deepness of the analysis. So, it is quite useless to “inflate the text with meaningless content.
The final grade will be computed as follows:
1. The synthesis corresponds to 25%;
2. The personal content (comments and examples) corresponds to 75%.
IMPORTANT:
1. Allowed formats: DOC or DOCx. Other formats (PDF etc.) will not be accepted;
2. See Syllabus for details about the mandatory formatting standards;
3. Delivery deadline: March 2nd.
If you don’t have the book, you may find it on Internet.
