Businesses have always been interested in the return on investment (ROI) for the stakeholders, and providing new products for consumers. Both small and big businesses are the generators of our vibrant life in the U.S. The government has always had the oversight and regulatory role in assuring businesses operate safely and within the law. A third participant in this struggle is science; physical, earth and medical science have always been the bedrock of our existence. Periodically one of these branches of science come to the fore. In the past four years government has imposed strict restrictions on business as a result of a pandemic virus. Government regulators have been involved, fulfilling their role. Some say “the medical sciences did not support the issue” Some would say “the societal and economic destruction were not commensurate with the protections.” Non-the-less, the societal-economic impact on the U.S. has taken place.
