Learning Goal: I’m working on a health & medical multi-part question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.

    Links to an external site.     to Search the Seattle Times, New York Times, or any other major newspaper for a current health issue. You will need to access to the full-text of the article to analyze it.
  3. Use the attached outline and use the yellow highlighted sections as a heading for your findings. Use the prompts I provide under each to expand on your finding.
    1. In the introductory paragraph, summarize the article. Be sure to identify the author, title, publication date, and source of publication. Describe the main premise, issue, objectives, and points of the article. It is appropriate to use an in-text citation for the article.
    2. Are they stating facts or trying to persuade? If fact based, include where the author states the credibility of the facts given. If the author is unbiased, use examples from the article to articulate that point to the reader.
    3. Keep track of places in the article where you agree or disagree with what the author is saying and discuss them. Your opinion is completely okay to discuss in this article.
    4. Analyze how this health issue will impact an individual, family, community, workplace, and the world. We do not live in a vacuum so many people will be impacted.
    5. Choose a behavior change theory and apply it to the health issue. Be sure to articulate the constructs of the theory and how it could influence the health issue.

    CRITERIA:

  4. Papers will be graded on the quality as well of completion of the article.
  5. All papers must be typed, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, 12 point Arial or Calibri Font.
  6. Use APA Citations.
  7. Include APA style reference page
  8. Minimum 2 -3 pages
