The outcomes of this assignment are that students will:
· understand concepts related to the development and implementation of health policy and healthy public policies,
· become familiar with major government acts, laws, policies, and programs that have influenced, and continue to influence, health policy and programming for Indigenous peoples and communities,
· gain an understanding of how decisions are made regarding health planning, and what levers governments and organizations use to address health issues, with emphasis placed on Indigenous controlled organizations.
· develop a critical voice in the examination of current policy and legislative decision making in relation to Indigenous peoples health.
