and/or other relevant materials or sources you locate in other texts, news
articles, on the internet, etc.
2) Be sure to cite all sources used in your responses. For example, “According to Schmalleger and
Marcum in the text Juvenile Justice – An
Active-Learning Approach…” If you
use materials from the internet, be sure to provide the website address after
the material cited or in a footnote.
For example, “A People magazine article reported….” (https://people.com/crime/maine-teenager-murdered-teen-son-friend-argument-marijuana/)
There are no “right” or “wrong” answers to the questions
asked below. Your analysis and ability
to apply what you’ve learned through the text and class discussions will
determine your grade on the assignment.
Spelling and grammar do matter so please use spellcheck and grammar
check. Citation of sources will also be
part of your grade.
The maximum score for the assignment is 25 points:
Up to ten (10) points will be awarded for application of
the course materials in responses to the questions.
Up to ten (10) points will be awarded for demonstration of
critical thinking, that is, not just giving conclusions but also explaining how
that conclusion was reached. Give both
sides of an issue if appropriate.
Up to five (5) points will be given for proper spelling
and grammar and citation of sources.
