The paper should be between 1500 and 1800 words. Consider the following quote:

Answer the following question: How has technology/social media damaged the people/institutions mentioned in the quote? Pick 2 of the 3 different topics (young people, universities, and liberal democracies) to write about. What are the major causes of the damage to these institutions? What are potential solutions to each problem?
Pick two social problems from different areas (young people, universities, liberal democracies) to examine. Explain the nature of the problem, discuss the causes of each problem, and highlight a possible solution for each.
While you can talk about each institution separately, strong papers will make connections between these different topics (causes etc).
While the question is broad and there is an expectation that you will engage with a variety of course material to support your answer.
The readings present a lot of solutions to these problems, so you do not have to come up with an original idea. You can choose (and cite) one from the readings and adapt it to your thesis, topic, causes etc. I have listed one source and linked two other ones that can be useful in answering the question.
