Using any research method of your choice, propose a research study that is interesting to you and
relevant to the study of courts in society. Clearly state your research question and your
hypothesis. Use literature from the course, films, and your knowledge outside of this class to
support your hypothesis. You may also use readings and other materials to explain your
predictions. Propose how you would test your research question. Explain your expected results
and note limitations of your proposed study. Lastly, summarize the main points of your paper in
the conclusion, remembering to mention your project’s relevance to courts in society.
Paper Formatting Instructions
Regardless of which option you choose, the final paper should be 4 to 7 pages double-spaced
(1,000 – 1,750 words), Times New Roman, 12-point font, etc. Please include a cover page with
your final paper and provide your name, course title and number (CLJ 350: Courts in Society).
