I am hoping for a 1st in this dissertation, my subject at university is Accounting and Finance.
The dissertation has a word count of 8000 words.
Dissertation structure:
The structure of the dissertation is given in brief below, with a more detailed description following suit.
1. Title Page
2. Declaration of originality (& word count)
3. Acknowledgements
4. Executive summary
5. Table of contents
6. List of tables, figures, charts and abbreviations
7. Body of text
8. Bibliography/references
9. Appendices
Formatting
The text should have 1.5 line spacing but tables can be single spaced. Make sure to justify the text – do not use left alignment.
The font must be easy to read. For example, you may use fonts such as Calibri, Ariel or Times New Roman with a font size 12.
The pages of the main text must be numbered.
The dissertation is suggested to be written in third person. See here, for an example.
The Contents page(s) identify chapters and their main sections, references/bibliography, and the numbered appendices.
Headings and sub-headings need consistent style and numbers. Please ensure that the fonts you use are identical to the fonts of the rest of your manuscript.
