Each student will submit an 8-page conference-style paper describing the integrated assessment model, the context for their research question. The paper should include all of the key elements of a research paper, including:
- Introduction – framing the research question with a compelling argument substantiated by a literature review;
- Methodology – describing the model framework, data inputs, scenario matrix, limitations, etc.;
- Results – An overview of key outputs from the model (be judicious about discussing results that contribute to your narrative; this likely means not describing all of your results);
- Conclusions – What do your results mean, particularly for decision-makers who are considering the most impactful decarbonization actions.
- Discussion – Put your conclusions into the broader context, perhaps by referring back to the key arguments that you made in the introduction.
You don’t have to strictly follow the above outline.
