Final term paper, it’s meant to be argumentative and relevant to school punishment/ school to prison pipe line relative to sociology. The thesis should be something related to how marginalized groups (race, ethnicity and lower socioeconomic status) are more harshly punished in k-12 schools and labeled as deviant off of bias and sestemic racism. Has to be 7 pages, double spaced and needs 7 peer edited sources. Here’s an excerpt from the assignment prompt: (For example, if my thesis statement is, “I believe schools should adopt non-exclusionary punishment methods for students in Special Education programs”, my introduction would also include some indication as to whether this is a problem we should be concerned about (CRDC data say yes, parents and teachers say yes, and these students are being limited through excessive punishments).
