Second Major Applied Physics
1. How will opportunities at Purdue support your interests, both in and out of the classroom? (Respond in 250 words or fewer.)*
I HAVE WRITTEN A ROUGH DRAFT /POINTS OF HOW THE ESSAY WILL GO
paragraph 1-
Committed to majoring in electrical and computer engineering or applied physics, I believe that with Purdue’s myriad of resources, I will be equipped with the skills to pursue my goal of entering the research field at the intersection of computer science, physics, and civic engagement.
INSTRUCTION 1-(Iwant a better hook statement /intro, you can change this or can rewrite it so that the hook seems catchy )
paragraph 2
Combining Purdue’s strong research and physics program, I hope to bridge my interests in these areas by participating in projects like Professor Tongcang Li’s research on spin qubits within 2D materials. Quantum physics and quantum computing is an area that fascinates me, and through this experience, I would not be able to engage with these topics but be able to explore them with strong faculty support. I will be able to continue gaining valuable research experience in the topics that I am most interested in, enhancing my knowledge of nuclear spins for applications in quantum memory and quantum sensing, and allowing me to pursue a potential future career relating to quantum computing.
OUT OF THE CLASSROOM INVOLVEMENT
https://htfpurdue.org/ – Go through this site and mention a project and relate to my current giving back to the community and how i will continue to do so and grow as a responsible person , also mention the interdisciplanary and inclisive environment of the club, right now i do give back to community by running a math enrichment program for the middle schoolers for last 2 years and also running a 3D tutoring program in multiple local libraries for last 2 years . you can mention one of them and relate to the club.
para 4- Conclusion – converging all to help me to grow as a person and also my aspiration to do research in my preferred majors
