Paper must be at least 5 pages in length, double-spaced, use 12-point font, and normal margins.
Include a minimum of 3 Sources. Must be either books or scholarly journal articles obtained from the library.
You must submit a research proposal and bibliography of sources before beginning your project.

Research Paper
This semester you are required to complete a term paper based on library research. Your paper should be approximately 5-6 pages in length, double spaced, and use Times New Roman 12pt font with standard margins (1 inch). You are welcome to write more if needed. You must use at least 3 academic library sources using the Sacramento City College online library databases and e-books. You must properly cite your sources throughout the body of your paper and include a bibliography. You will be required to turn in your bibliography two weeks before the paper is due so that the instructor can approve your sources. Wikipedia, Reddit, Buzzfeed are not accepted sources. (The bibliography does not count towards the 5 pages).

If you are having trouble fining sources on your own — you are not alone! Contact one of our wonderful librarians at SCC. Make sure to speak with a qualified librarian and not simply a library employee. Librarians have specialized degrees on how to look stuff up and can make your life easier. Our librarians are also available via email, chat, and text. Go to the library to find out more. Be sure to have a copy of this assignment when you ask for help.
Bibliography
Please contact one of the campus librarians if you need help with how to cite sources and create a bibliography. There is a handy button called “cite” that would automatically create the citation of any sources you find through the library databases.

For this paper, you will choose a minority group from anywhere around the world (except the U.S.) and examine how they were treated by their government. I would like the paper to focus on the 20th century (1900s). You may choose a group that was singled out for their race, ethnicity, political ideology, religion, sexual orientation, etc.
