interview and complete a psychosocial assessment of John Nash. From the Movie A Beautiful Mind

During this assignment you will be asked to watch the movie,”A Beautiful Mind” and complete a Psychosocial Assessment of the protagonist, John Nash, Jr. In completing this assessment you will called upon to use all that you have read about abnormal behavior so far, including the Four D’s, different theoretical perspectives, biomedical and psychotherapeutic interventions, and viewing the client as a whole person. You will be asked to consider differential diagnosis as well as the possibility of comorbid disorders, such as anxiety and stress related disorders, mood disorders, etc.

The assignment:
1) watch a “Beautiful Mind/” As we discussed in class last week, it is available on many different platforms (such as Hulu, Youtube, Amazon Prime Video, etc.,) to either stream for free with membership or as a digital rental for a fee. As you watch, make note of any moments of possible symptoms, positive or negative, of schizophrenia or other mental illness.
2) There is a scene one hour and thirty eight minutes into the movie where Dr. Rosen, Nash and his wife are seated at a kitchen table after a particularly disturbing incident at home. Imagine you are there with Dr. Rosen and you have been tasked with participating in the interview and completing a psychosocial assessment of Nash and writing it up.
3) Using the attached template, please write up a Psychosocial Assessment of Nash jr. as he presents at that time. You can also use the links provided below for background information not explored during the movie. I have also provided the guide to writing a Psychosocial Assessment with examples for each area. You might want to skim through this guide before attempting assignment. You do not have to include every detail about his past but pertinent information that gives up relevant details about his family, his social interactions and prior levels of functioning.
Include a brief but substantial consideration of differential diagnosis in your clinical summary. This might be where you summarize his current state, the abnormality of his presentation, his relative strengths and weaknesses as they pertain to further treatment. In your recommendations you might consider what has worked in the past ( and what we now know about so his past treatments and their efficacies).
You do not have to write a book!
https://archive.nytimes.com/www.nytimes.com/books/first/n/nasar-mind.html You do not have to read this entire chapter. I would skip most of the 1st part about his parents and scroll down about halfway through to the paragraph that begins with John Nash jr. birth. How was he as a kid? How did he interact with his peers? Anything about him stand out before he reaches the point at the beginning of the movie? Any early warning signs?
