Involvement of Clearance Mechanisms in Alzheimer’s Disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

Hello, I am including the instructions for the paper and some background information which are to write on the involvement of a few of the body’s natural clearance mechanisms in Alzheimer’s Disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (CAA). The clearance mechanisms involved specifically are astrocytes, aquaporin 4 and the glymphatic system. These all play a role in the diseases Alzheimer’s disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy and are involved in the clearance of waste products. The paper should include how the waste clearance mechanisms play similar roles, if they malfunction or there are mutations what is the resulting impact, as well as providing background information on the diseases and the clearance mechanisms. A couple of examples are aquaporin 4 (AQP4) and the glymphatic system are involved in clearance of beta-amyloid – a waste product that aggregates in the brain and is a hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease. The paper should also explore the role of aquaporin 4 and the glymphatic system in the clearance of beta-amyloid in the brain, discuss the potential implications of impaired glymphatic system activation and decreased AQP4 expression for CAA, and present research findings that show genetic mutations associated with CAA affect astrocyte function and lead to abnormal beta-amyloid accumulation in the brain, and highlight the potential implications of understanding the roles of the glymphatic system, AQP4, and astrocytes in AD and CAA for future research and therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer’s disease.

This is mostly already written in the paper I am attaching. I am requesting the paper be slightly rewritten to meet certain requests I would like. There are already 7 references written but I need a few more and I need any of the new information that is going to be added to the revised paper to have them as in-text citations. The format for the paper should have an introduction providing background information on both Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy and Alzheimer’s Disease including how they present clinically, the mutations and proteins that cause the disease. To clarify, the paper needs to be changed to not be focused on Hereditary Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (HCAA) but to focus on the broader disease Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (CAA). The clearance mechanisms should also be introduced which are astrocytes, the glymphatic system, and aquaporin 4. The body of the paper should be labeled with subsections which should be broken down as follows for example, CAA and AQP4 and it would contain information about the involvement of aquaporin 4 as a clearance mechanism in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy, then CAA and the Glympathic System, CAA and astrocytes, and the same with Alzheimer’s Disease such as: AD and AQP4, etc. The paragraph that is highlighted regarding astrocyte numbers decreasing in patients diagnosed with AD and HCA would need a reference but if one cannot be found or if the information seems incorrect it would just need to be changed to match what is correct such if the astrocytes actually delocalize from the blood vessels in patients with the disease, and it needs a reference. There should also be a paragraph introducing Hereditary Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy (HCAA) which is a more specific type of disease under the category of CAA and should have a reference. The end of the paper should also have a conclusion section which should summarize the main points of the paper and include what the implications are for future research specifically, not change in diet or exercise but what clinical implications or what future researchers may focus on to possibly develop therapies such as gene therapies for particular mutations.
Essentially, the paper needs some additional research added to lengthen it as well as have the information reorganized so that there is an introduction, subsections with the diseases and each clearance mechanism, with the diseases and mutations and their implcations clinically, as well as a section speaking on HCAA, then a conclusion. Some of the information regarding astrocytes and AQP4 that is highlighted needs a reference or to be changed to reflect more accurate information, and additional references need to be added and included as in-text citations to show where the information was obtained.
