Is it morally permissible for a news network to openly endorse and amplify political candidates

of certain political parties?
○ Real Life Example: Tucker Carlson said recently that Fox news did its best to amplify the
voices of conservative politicians running for election and did its best to undercut their
opponents. He also said that other media outlets did the same for the non-conservative
politicians. Suppose he’s right. Is that morally permissible for a news network to do?
Necessary Conditions: All papers must be Times New Roman, 12pt, 1in margins all around,
double-spaced, left-oriented. The date and course number should be in the upper right. Papers should not have titles. You must give at least four premises to support your conclusion. Each premise must themselves be supported by two further premises. You must anticipate and respond to at least one objection to some premises.

ONLY USE DAVID HORNER’S “UNDERSTANDING MEDIA ETHICS” FOR SOURCES. NEED 4 PREMISES TOTAL, SUPPORTED BY 2 TOTAL.
