For this essay, you MUST use 1 primary source (Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail”) and 1 secondary source (the secondary source can be from an online article, website, printed article, etc.). Therefore, you must use 2 sources to develop your paper. You are only allowed to use 2 sources total. Again, King’s “A Letter from a Birmingham Jail” and one outside source. Each source that you use to write your paper must be correctly cited within your paper as in-text citations, as well as correctly cited on the Works Cited page. If you list a source on the Works Cited page and do not use/cite that source in your paper, this is a form of plagiarism and you will receive a zero for this essay. If you use/cite a source in your paper and do not list it on the Works Cited page, this is also a form of plagiarism and you will receive a zero for the research paper. And, you must use both sources in the body paragraphs of your paper! The introduction and conclusion are the only 2 paragraphs that you are not allowed to have quotes, paraphrases from sources, citations etc. No exceptions!
“Is organized religion too inextricably bound to the status quo to save our nation and world?” Do you believe this to be true? Can the nation, or world, be saved by organized religion? Why or why not?
