You are to write a two-to-three full page (2-3 full page) paper where you compare AND contrast the information you read/watched with factual historical information. You will want to draw comparisons or point out inaccuracies about the time period, names or dates that are fictional versus factual, show how the film captured the time period accurately or inaccurately, etc.
When writing your Primary Document Essays, you MUST use the following settings:
• 1-inch margins on all sides
• Double-spaced paragraphs with no adjustment before or after paragraphs (that means
“0pt” in the Before and After sections under the “Paragraph Settings” button in Microsoft
Word)
• 12-point Times New Roman font
• Use the left alignment only
• The beginning of each paragraph should be indented half an inch (or 1 TAB space).
• Your name, the assignment name, chosen document, and date will need to be single-
spaced in the upper corner of your paper (NOT in the header).
• There should only be two lines of space between your personal information and the
beginning of your essay (paper titles may be placed one line between the info area and
body of your paper).
• Documents should be submitted as .docx (Word) or .rtf format only in Blackboard.
Essays submitted in other formats will not be graded.
• Students must turn in a printed copy of their paper in class as well as the digital copy
submitted in Blackboard.
• You must use the Chicago citation style and include footnote or endnote citations and a
Bibliography page at the end of your paper (in a Bibliography you show all sources used in your research process).
