The link above is the read and these are the requirement; which issues, themes, and passages or details from the day’s text do you find most compelling and important, and why? Focus on 1-2 themes/questions/issues. This is your chance to share with the rest of us what you find most crucial and interesting in the reading. In the course of your presentation, you should examine at least two passages from the readings. What do these passages tell us about the theme/issue you are interested in, and about the larger text? Why are these particular passages and the issue(s) they raise critical to our understanding of the text in the context of the ongoing conversation in this class? You are welcome to do a bit of outside research if you would like (for instance, on the author’s life or the historical context in which a text was produced), but that is also not required. Your primary aim is to share a focused analysis of some aspect of the text itself.
