Throughout this course, you will be preparing sections of your Scholar Practitioner Project, and, in Module 5, you will be collating these sections into one final submission.
In this portion of the SPP, you will propose sources of data for the research that is the focus of your SPP. You will also propose sampling techniques approaches to mitigating issues with bias.
To Prepare:
Review the Learning Resources, including the document Scholar-Practitioner Project Directions and Guidelines located in the module Learning Resources (attached).
SCHOLAR PRACTITIONER PROJECT – OBSERVATIONAL EPIDEMIOLOGICAL STUDY PART 2: DATA COLLECTION, SAMPLING, AND SOURCES OF SELECTION BIAS
Submit the following in 2–3 pages:
- An identification and description of your proposed data source(s)
- A description of data collection tools
- A description of a proposed sampling technique and recruitment procedures
- An explanation and justification of the sample size you propose for your study
- A description of potential sources of selection bias
- An explanation of strategies you propose to decrease selection bias in your proposed study
