Purpose:
- To identify the state and national benchmarks that strongly relate to the “outcome” you are seeking in your quality improvement project
- To create a “cause-and-effect” diagram relative to the “problem/patient/population” (P) in the clinical question
- To identify WHAT current policy exists that relates to or impacts your CMA findings.
- To identify the resources that must be managed/utilized to resolve a clinical problem
- Remember your resources include personnel, stakeholders, materials, time, talent, intellect, and money.
