After you have completed the “Measuring Your Conflict Style” assessment in the textbook (pages 146-147), read through your classmates’ posts and discuss the following:

  • How many people have relatively consistent styles in different contexts?
  • If you have different answers for the two, what is it about the two situations that prompts you to use different styles?
  • Discuss the advantage/disadvantage of using the same style across two different situations.
  • What are some advantages/disadvantages of using different styles across the two situations?
  • Do personal situations and less personal situations call for different styles?
