The plan will be used for a hypothetical research project which examines the management ofsport organisations. Whilst this is a general topic are set for the assessment, it is up to each individual student to determine how this might be refined further by focusing on aspects related to the topic. (For example, the managementof human, physical or financial resources).
Students will prepare a 2000-2500 word research plan and project design. The purpose of the plan is to clarify research issues, discuss the theoretical context of the research, how the topic will be researched, show the timescale proposed, discuss the nature of the data to be collected, discuss any parameters or limits to research, and what forms the findings are expected to take.
The plan will include: introduction, literature review (600-750worda) methodology 800-1000 words, time table of research (designed as a Gantt chart), discussion of ethics, expected findings and possible implications of findings, bibliography
