The plan should be thorough and detailed to ensure efficient work sequencing and appropriate outcomes. Develop a project charter that includes the following content and is formatted in a professional manner using MS Word: a. Project Name, Executive Sponsor(s), Department Sponsor; Impact of the project b. Project Team: Project Manager, team members and role/department c. Stakeholders (e.g., those with a significant interest in or who will be significantly affected by the project) d. Project Scope Statement: Project Purpose/Business justification. Describe the business need this project addresses e. Project objectives: In business terms, describe the measurable outcomes of the project (e.g., reduce cost by xxx or increase quality to xxx) f. Project deliverables: List the high-level “productsâ€� to be created (e.g., improved xxx process, employee manual on xxx). Develop a realistic project plan using actual tasks and estimated due dates. This should be presented in the form of a Gantt chart. You may use MS Project, Excel and/or Word. a. Estimate time units, resources, task dependencies and milestones. b. Calculate the duration of the entire project. c. Develop a timeline for the overall project with key milestones and dates. Imbed the timeline within a PowerPoint slide for future presentations. |
